S&P 500 Trading Pits – May 6, 2010 – 2:45pm

The market plunge on Thursday May 6th – was not due to a trader’s ‘fat finger’ – it was due to massive sell orders with no bids. No bids = no value. This is why the value of the stock of a few companies dropped to less than a dollar.
